End of the Month

I was up around 5:30 this morning and found myself starting the day by looking forward to an afternoon nap. Still, I find that I’m much better off in the morning if I get up on my own, rather than letting one of the kids wake me in the middle of a sleep cycle. Kids woke up and had breakfast and were happy it was the weekend. Adam and Dana took off for karate, and a follow-on birthday party for one of the other karate students, so I had the other three and the house to myself for the bulk of the day. Fortunately, they were all well-behaved and I could get some work done.

When Dana got home I took a break in the yard to use the weedwhacker on some of the tall grass in back. I also watered my little garden in the front, which is coming along nicely. Don’t know how much actual produce we’ll get after starting so late, but it’s nice to have some green stuff out there.

For dinner, I made lasagna and corn on the cob. Easy dinner. All the kids love corn, and most will eat lasagna without fussing.

Kayla napped through dinner, finally waking up around midnight. Dana fed her and got her back to bed.
