Back in the Old Days

Thomas woke up very early this morning and told me, quite seriously, “Back in the old days of Montana, everybody singed.” Then he went on to other things. I have no idea where that came from. (Later on, he went back to bed for a nap, since he was clearly up too early for his own temper). I spent my morning writing and supervising schoolwork. Some of this was at half speed, as our T1 line dropped out for a few hours before lunch (part of a much wider Qwest outage, apparently). I logged on to the net with the Sprint modem so I could upload things, albeit slowly.

After lunch, I did a bunch of work as well as some grocery shopping. Fortunately it was a light week at the grocery store; for some reason there were three times as many customers as usual on a Wednesday afternoon in there and the checkout lines were unusually backed up.

For dinner, I made some pork cutlets with strawberry sauce, asparagus, and mashed potatoes.

After dinner, I worked until bedtime for kids, then spent 40 minutes or so working out before retiring myself.
