Red Lobster
Up at 5:30 this morning – an absurd hour for a weekend, but then, that’s my biochemistry at work. At least I had a leisurely morning of doing not much in particular. Eventually, I stirred myself to look at deadlines, and then spent pretty much the whole day writing help content for one of the sites I’m working with. I wouldn’t call it “done” yet, but it’s a zillion percent better than what they had before, and good enough to ship in a pinch.
The yard has pretty well dried out from the last round of torrential rains, so we let the kids play outside for a while after lunch. Of course they found the one remaining huge mud puddle and had to go through a round of baths after that.
At dinnertime we decided to go out, and after driving around for a bit ended up at the local Red Lobster. Adam had crab, Thomas and Lindsey had shrimp, and they all enjoyed the seafood. Kayla was the odd one out, refusing to leave the comfort of chicken strips. Dana had a medley of shrimp and I ate a couple of tiny grilled lobster tails. All in all a decent meal, though definitely a splurge.
After dinner, it was back home again for a bit more writing, putting kids to bed, and a bit more writing still. I checked in changes and crashed eventually.
