Plugging Along
We had another quake around 1AM – 4.5 on the Richter scale. It’s like moving back to California. Lindsey woke up a bit before 5AM. I tried to get her back to sleep, but no luck. Eventually she had some breakfast and fell asleep in my lap, and I was able to put her back in bed, but that was an unproductive and bleary morning hour.
For some reason the elder two kids fussed and dragged through schoolwork this morning, and then spent the late morning screaming at each other at the top of their lungs. As a result they got to stay home and have lunch with me while mom took the younger kids out for a play day.
Meanwhile, I kept on writing code, after a catchup phone call with one client. Things are moving along nicely on most projects.
For dinner, I made some chicken and noodle casserole, along with fruit and salad. Everyone ate eventually, though like any other casserole the kids didn’t really like it. Dana went off to a karate session, and I did a bit more work.
