Strike Out on Server Setup
I was up at 5:30 again. This seems to be my new natural time to wake up. I would be happy to sleep until 6 or so, but if I go back to sleep at 5:30 I’m out till 7. Oh well, at least the early mornings can be productive. Dana was out running a variety of errands most of the day, so we declared today to be a no-school day. The kids were appreciative, as they always are.
Meanwhile, I caught up on bookkeeping and then started poking around in the code of several projects. With kids to chase and feed I wasn’t as productive as I could have been, but things moved along.
In the evening we had a prospective landscaper come by and we talked about what we want done. Turns out he’s too busy to do the whole job, but he gave us leads on some other folks and we discussed having him at least put in some trees.
For dinner, I made hot dogs, mashed potatoes, corn, and salad. It was a decent enough combination and mostly the kids ate, though for some reason Kayla was having trouble with the potatoes. After dinner I got out to do the grocery shopping. This wasn’t the best time for it – the stock and staff at our store are notably degraded at 7PM compared to 10AM – but it was the time I had.
