Somewhat Working Day

I haven’t been sleeping very well lately (I blame small kids more than insomnia), so even though I was back at it around 6 this morning, I was pretty tired. But I plowed on through anyhow. Schoolwork went pretty smoothly. Thomas has definitely turned the corner on his reading and is sounding out words on his own more and more; it took most of a year to get here, but I expect he’ll speed up now.

After school it was mostly a day of miscellaneous work for me, taking care of little bits on various projects. Things moved along, but I’ve got a lot of things in the air right now and task-switching overhead is starting to drag me down. Would be nice to get something to a “finished” point again soon.

In the afternoon I put some training wheels on Adam’s bike and he and I went out for another practice session. They’re not the sturdiest training wheels ever, but they seem to be providing enough boost that he’s starting to get it. We also had a visit from our contact at Arrowhead Lawn Care with an estimate on installing sprinklers and sod.

For dinner, I made up some pork chops with blue cheese, along with salad, broccoli, and mashed potatoes.

After dinner, some more work, some more helping Dana with her project, and bedtime.
